Hong Kong scoring
Every scoring pattern in Hong Kong mahjong, checked against the Hong Kong Mahjong Association tournament rulebook and the Chinese 常用番種 tables. Twenty-nine of them, shown in tiles rather than described in words.
One chart says Small Dragons is 3. Another says 5. Both are right, and both describe the same hand.
Some tables quote the increment: 3 faan, with the two dragon pungs still counting on top. Others quote the inclusive total: 5 faan, 不再計三元牌, do not count the dragons again. 3 + 2 = 5.
Every number on this page is the inclusive total: what the whole hand is worth.
The number is what the whole hand is worth, so the pungs it is built from do not also count. This is where published charts most often appear to disagree, and mostly do not.
Worth the maximum on their own. Nothing else adds to them, because they already reach the ceiling.
